Gio, a young migrant woman from Berlin Neukoelln has no future prospects. She quit school very early and became a member of a local gang, making a living with pickpocketing and small thievery. One day she gets caught and is sentenced to several hours of community service. There she meets Klara, a young blind woman with a passion for books and classic music.
