Undercover

1943 NR 1h 1m 6.1

A training film for OSS agents who are to be dropped behind enemy lines, covering cover and concealment, ambush techniques, etc.

This documentary training film for agents of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was intended to show agents-in-training the techniques and obstacles involved in undercover work in antagonistic countries. One agent, Al, is attentive to his instructions and functions well in his work without drawing undue enemy attention. Another agent, Charlie, is impatient and self-important, and leaves many safeguards unattended or casually dismissed. Each is used as an example of possible agent behavior, with the advantages and detriments of each type of behavior demonstrated.
