"The Touch" is a short film based on a true person, Renee Vivien, a celebrated lesbian poet living and writing in Paris. During a relationship with a wealthy baroness, Renee received a letter from Kerime Turkhan Pasha, an Islamic woman married to a Turkish diplomat. They carried on a passionate correspondence for several years meeting only rarely in person. The film takes place on their last moments together before Kerime's husband moves his family away.
