Psychobabble, poetry, and an unrelenting interrogation are all part of trying to solve a violent murder committed offline. In a world where no one lives outside "The Tangle", the world system, being disconnected is the extremely rare exception to the rule. The Tangle governs and pacifies all, but time is running out before Cleopatra arrives to find out the results of the investigation, and her arrival spells doom. There may also be no way of guessing whodunit until nearly the end.
The Tangle
Set in a near future in which the Tangle connects everyone to everything via hard drives in the brain, a group of government agents try to protect humanity from within hidden technology saferooms, rooms the Tangle cannot reach.
