Palden stays with his mother at a makeshift cottage at Bhotang in Sindhupalchowk district after the earthquake destroyed their home. Palden plans to leave back to the Middle East again because he finds no purpose in living his life in his god-forsaken country. While his stay at home, he visits his estranged sister, completes the funeral rites for his grandfather, take his mother for a pilgrimage to Paanchpokhari and gets emotionally involved with a girl he had previously rejected for marriage. He realizes that leaving his country was just him trying to escape his own fears of mortality and having closure with his estranged family is finally what makes him at peace with the world around him.
