Sakura no ki no shita

Set in Kawasaki City, Japan and a public housing with elderly residents afflicted with loneliness the documentary depicts the challenges facing the men and women and, in particular, seventy nine-year-old Sekiguchi Kotoji who, having been widowed, lives with her sole companion, a pet bird called Tachan.
