Using excerpts from several of its Historical Featurettes, as well as newsreels and some original footage, Warner Brothers gives moviegoers an overview of American history, from the landing of the Pilgrims in 1620 to Pearl Harbor. It emphasizes that since the first European settlers arrived, the American spirit has pulled everyone together to solve problems and overcome adversity.
