Kate Garraway: Finding Derek

Kate Garraway is a presenter on Britain's morning news show, Good Morning Television (GMTV). She documents her life as she deals with the harrowing effect of her husband, Derek Draper, falling into a coma after coronavirus invades his body and leaves him confined to a hospital bed completely reliant on the support system which allows him to breathe, eat and survive. This is a remarkable testament to their love and is intensely personal without being mawkish - she demonstrates great resilience, courage and humour as he gradually is able to communicate in brief moments which allow for real hope to emerge.
