One day, while raking leaves in his backyard before golf, Goofy wishes he had a good job. His magic fairy guardian Goofy, Paddy O'Reilly, arrives to suggest various lines of work. A compilation of classic Disney shorts about jobs is shown.

Goofy wants to go golfing, but his wife asks him to rake the backyard, wash the car, clean up the attic and the garage and throw away the trash first. While grumblingly raking he thinks about finding a good solid exciting well-paying work. Then out of nowhere his guardian fairy with Irish accent who calls himself Paddy O'Reilly and looks exactly like Goofy if Goofy was the same size as Tinker Bell and dressed as Peter Pan appears to suggest him various types of work which are then illustrated through classic Disney shorts.
