On the last day of school, Michael Patterson is eager to join his friend at his lakeside cottage, but his family has other plans: a camping trip on the coast. Embittered by this turn of events, Michael is hardly an enthusiastic camper, but events arise that convince him that this excursion is definitely not a waste of his time.
