Chafed Elbows

1966NR1h 3m6.3

A welfare recipient marries his mother.

Twenty-seven year old New Yorker Walter Dinsmore lives much like a stream of consciousness, letting whatever and whoever he encounters direct what he does, even within the context of "scheduled" events such as his annual breakdowns in both November and January, this year's January breakdown which is unusually a two-parter. This way of living affects him in moving from job to job - some official, some not so official - and how he carries on in his personal life, which includes having sex with two family members, one his first cousin Levitica, whom he impregnates, and two his mother Paloma, the latter which he is able to do as he is never home at the same time as his father. Walter feels he has reached a more satisfying and stable point in his life when he goes on welfare and as he is able to do something following the passing of his father.
