Two brothers, Marcus and Nate have chosen opposite sides of the law. Marcus, a police officer confronts Nate, the city's biggest drug lord. Marcus is then faced with having to choose between his blood and his duty to protect and serve.

Nate and Marcus are half brothers born and raised in the ghetto of South Florida by their unstable, single mother. During a playground fight, Marcus comes to Nate's defense by stabbing a bully who is threatening his brother's life. After denying any wrong doing at the local police station, Nate and Marcus are sent home. But when Marcus' father finds out about his son's run in with the law, he removes Marcus from his mother's home and the drug infested ghetto environment that surrounds him. Nate and Marcus are forced to part ways, but promise to stay brothers forever. Flash forward ten years and the brothers are reunited on the streets of Miami, but on different sides of the law. Marcus has become a police officer, while Nate has become a local drug dealer. With the City of Miami cracking down on crime and drugs, the promise to stay brothers forever puts Nate and Marcus' relationship to the test.
