Rance Devlin intends to build his own empire in the American west using his Black Raiders and allied Indians. Only US Army scout Tom Bridger, allied with Pony Express rider Ed Marr and cavalry officer Captain Frank Carter, can stop him.

Chapter One EMPEROR OF THE WEST - The 19th century West is a battleground of pioneers, outlaws and Indians, with U.S. Army units trying to preserve order. Army scout Tom Bridger (Lee Roberts),aided by the Pony Express relay station manger Ed Marr (Dennie Moore),is unable to prevent Alby (Lee Morgan) and Bragg (Pierce Lyden),henchmen of evil Rance Devlin (Don C. Harvey). from looting a wagon carrying bank funds. Seeing a stagecoach pursued by Indians while two strangers are mysteriously at work on a hillside. Tom and Ed split up. One of the strangers throws a flaming keg of gun powder at Ed. It explodes. Tom, catching up to the stagecoach, finds a pretty girl, Lola Martin (Norma Brooks),who covers him with a gun. He disarms her just as the stagecoach crashes into a barricade and is smashed. To Be Continued.
