A rebel leader calling himself Alexander the Great escapes from prison and captures some English tourists to hold as hostages. He returns to his village and finds there a commune in existence. The film is based on the Dilesi Massacre of 1870. It opens with a character named Alexander the Great who is the leader of the bandits being freed from prison. Alexander and the bandits have kidnapped a group of British aristocrats and bring them to an agrarian community in the mountains.
