An eminent confectioner tragically dies in an accident. In his last moments, regretting not getting to realize his dream, he calls out to the god, to which she responds by granting him another chance. Hence, the protagonist is reincarnated in a medieval fantasy setting as a son of a war hero, who was granted a fief for his efforts; and a noblewoman, who ran away to marry, resulting in her family severing ties. Presently, their domain consists of three small villages struggling to survive in a barren land. Furthermore, sugar and other ingredients are prohibitively expensive. Not to mention, all kinds of troubles, from bandit assaults to political conspiracies, lying ahead. But even so, Pastry isn't about to give up on his dream and is now determined to bring sweets into this world. Little does he know, just how much scheming and shrewdness it's going to take to overcome it all...
