Teams compete in elimination challenges with the final team going on to search for the treasure inside the titular Mesoamerican "Hidden Temple".
Six teams compete through a series of physical and mental challenges as it narrows down to only one team given the privilege to enter a mysterious Mayan temple in order to retrieve an artifact from a well known figure in a limited amount of time.
