When Marshall Holden discovers gold, Martin tricks him into signing a deed and then has him killed. His natural son replaces him as Marshall but his adopted son Jerry accidently kills a man and is wrongly convicted of murder. But Martin also has a son and he is the key to solving Jerry's problems.
