Two desperate, jealous actors plan to break into a mega-successful Hollywood director's home and steal his latest film, then toss it onto a scrap heap where they can gleefully watch it being destroyed. Chaos ensues.

David Egoman, a mega-successful Hollywood director, is screening a work-print of his latest film for the studio brass at his home. Little does he realize two desperate, jealous actors, Dem Reel and Patrick St. Patrick, plan to break into his home and steal the film, then toss it onto a scrap heap where they can gleefully watch it being destroyed. The actors get more than they bargained for when Egoman is brutally assaulted during the melee and later falls into a coma. This increases the value of the missing film can, which contain the only copy of the celebrated director's latest-and possibly last-film, and results in an all-out search for their whereabouts.
