The Movie Life of George

1989 NR 52m 6.5

When EMI refused to produce Monty Python's Life of Brian, George Harrison founded Handmade Pictures so that he could see the film. This is the story of him and Handmade Films.

It is said that the Beatles sometimes regarded Monty Python as taking over the spirit where they left off. Certainly George Harrison must have thought so when he risked his money to found Handmade Films, just so that Monty Python could make Life of Brian. This program was made after ten years of Handmade Films' films.
