Super Cute Animals

2015 NR 1h 7.2

Gordon Buchanan goes to meet the world's cutest animals to reveal their hidden biology and find out why people have such a strong emotional response to them.

Gordon explains with iconic example species what characteristics render animals cute in human perception, while studies proved evolution developed them to adapt to environments before man even was around. Pandas excel in physiognomy resembling the human baby, clumsily playing young, instrument use and other primate behavior resemble our children but they often learn even faster. Furs and feathers render cuddly. 'Tame' felines domesticated man, even developed an irresistible second purring tone at baby-pitch.
