Steve Marriott was the frontman of two of the U.K.'s biggest groups of the late Sixties and Early Seventies, Small Faces and Humble Pie. After Humble Pie disbanded in 1975 Marriott pursued a solo career, as well as becoming re-involved with his former bands when both later re-formed. One of Britrock's unsung heroes, Marriott never achieved the solo success his song-writing and music talents clearly deserved and was about to unite with Peter Frampton when he tragically died in a house fire in 1991. Steve Marriott is in top form in this long-lost concert from 1987 which was filmed in the intimate setting of a small club in Saarbruecken, Germany in 1987. Typical of his gigs at the time, it comprises in the main of soul and R&B classics specially chosen by Marriott, along with three Small Faces hits and a number from his days with Humble Pie, 'Fool For A Pretty Face'.
