Grace starts drinking when she discovers that her husband Craig is having an affair. One night she witnesses a man attacking a girl; she helps the girl get to the hospital but does not want to be a witness in court because she thinks Craig would lose his reputation. Only when the girl's mother appeals to her does Grace contact Lieutenant Lawson from the police department.
