Celeste (Julie Benz) is an attractive 40-something waitress who meets and serves Steven Beard (Eli Gabay) his nightly cocktail at his local country club in Austin, Texas. In 1995, 70-year-old widower Steve marries Celeste, a divorced mother of two teenage daughters, providing her with a large house, fancy cars, expensive designer clothing, and more jewelry than she could ever want, but nothing is enough for her. When she is admitted to a mental-healthy facility for depression, she meets and seduces fellow female patient Tracey Tarlton (Justine Warrington) and succeeds in convincing her that the only way they could be together would be to murder her husband Steven.
