On the Night of Halloween, a young couple, Emily and Nick, are playing chess home alone, greeting the trick or treaters, when, unexpectedly, a creepy woman shows up on their doorstep only to disappear leaving her purse behind. Four hours later, and Emily is still looking for her missing husband unaware, however, that a mysterious and utterly sinister world awaits her just a few blocks down the road.
