Scientist Humphrey Baxter falls in love with showgirl Carolyn Coates, who reciprocates his love. But while Baxter works on a scientific project for three years in Vienna, Coates has success on Broadway and gradually falls in love with tennis star Alan Brody. Baxter is shocked when, upon his return to New York, he discovers his romance is over, but he offers as a wedding present to Caroline and Alan his new discovery, a serum that grants decades of youthfulness. The only catch is that there's only enough for one of them to take it.
