Christmas Eve broadcast of lessons and carols at the landmark city church, featuring the puppetry of the late Jane Henson's "Nativity Story" accompanied by the biblical narration of Regis Philbin and musical performances by three choirs.

The Paulist Priests host an evening of lessons and carols at their New York motherhouse by Lincoln Center, St. Paul the Apostle Church, featuring the church's own choir as well as the Fordham University Choir and the National Children's Chorus. Highlighted are puppetry vignettes from the late Jane Henson's "Nativity Story," enacting the biblical telling of the birth of Jesus with puppets created by the famed Jim Henson Creature Shop. Rounding out the televised CBS special are holiday reflections by parishioners of St. Paul the Apostle, interviews with some of Jane Henson's family members and artistic collaborators, and a high-flying "angel" kite performance under the cathedral's arched ceiling.
