A 2007 sequel, White Noise 2: The Light, was directed by Patrick Lussier and stars Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff. Both titles refer to electronic voice phenomena (EVP), where voices, which some believe to be from the "other side", can be heard on audio recordings
