The 1619 Project

2023 TV-MA 1h 01m 4.9

Connects the centrality of slavery in history with an unflinching account of brutal racism that endures in so many aspects of American life today.

It is an expansion of "The 1619 Project" created by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones and the New York Times Magazine. The series seeks to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.
