Recently-graduated Dr. Robert Foster starts a London medical practice with a few study friends. Robert and Dr. Martha Elliot have a love triangle with upper-class former university buddy Dr. Felix Quinn, who rivals them for the prestigious client list of a society doctor about to retire, whose daughter 'in heat' may swing the deal. Meanwhile Robert shows admirable talent and dedication to patients, also in Dr. Ross Jarvis' hospital ward, yet is bitterly discarded by his terminally-ill father Mal.
