Downe was born in Miami, Florida as Alma Louise Downe. She is an actress, writer, and assistant director who is best known for her work with director Herschell Gordon Lewis during the 1960s and 70s. She is credited under many different nicknames and pseudonyms such as Allison Downe, Bunny Downe, and Vickie Miles.
