The First Traveling Saleslady

1956 NR 1h 32m 5.4

In the late 1800s, 2 east coast sales ladies decide to stop selling corsets and head West to sell barbed wire to Texas cowboys but they face opposition from big ranchers who fear that steel wire would hurt cattle.

At the turn of the century, Miss Rose Gillray (Ginger Rogers) and ex-showbiz friend Molly Wade (Carol Channing) get involved in selling steel. After they come unstuck with corsets, they embark on the even more hazardous project of selling barbed wire to highly suspicious Texas cowboys.
