When Harry Dawn - an aging alcoholic years retired from the police department and estranged from his family - learns about the suspicious circumstances that lead to his grandson Gus' supposed "suicide" he takes it upon himself to get to the bottom of things. The "bottom" goes deeper than Harry could've imagined, leading him down a spiraling path of LA mobsters, rock stars and comediennes. No one is as they seem, and Harry soon finds himself in over his head with only one way out.
