Police officer Jean Martin experiences personal problems after many years in the sexual abuse department, so she demands to be transferred to the homicide/robbery department or she will quit the force. Her request is granted, but while she's concluding her final case in the former department she gets involved in the investigation of a brutal teen gang of robbers. All the while she must prove herself to be accepted as "one of the gang" in the new department.
