An animated special based on the Hagar the Horrible comic strip by Dik Browne. Hagar returns home after two years of pillaging and plundering at sea to find his household in shambles --- well, a shambles as compared to how HE would have liked it. His daughter, Honi, has become engaged to a non-barbaric singer, Lute; and his son, Hamlet, has begun reading books and poetry after being expelled from the Viking Academy. Hagar directs his anger at his wife, Helga, accusing her of allowing the ruin of the lack of civilization. Will he be able to straighten things out with all three of them?
