A guardian angel (Jonathan Frakes) escorts a dead teen (Hayley DuMond) to her eternal reward and launches a revenge attack on a rival teen (Shannon Elizabeth) who caused her death.

Popular model student Matthew 'Matt' Jannett is likely to get a college scholarship for diving, but the absurd pressure from his rigorous cop father is getting to him. When he and his mates decide to go swimming drunk at night, Matt takes off with his girlfriend Rachel Linden when the others strip. Rachel thinks he's in danger after a bad dive and jumps in after him, but she trips, hits her head, and drowns. The whole community treats Matt as if he killed her by neglect, he's automatically suspended--there's even a police investigation. Rachel's rival, Vanessa Canningham, then tries to seduce Matt, but Rachel's guardian angel coaches her in manipulating people so she can organize a revenge and save Matt.
