An orderly and average man finds himself entrenched in the odd lives in a strange town. Attempts to depart lead him to discover the best parts of himself have found a home and a belonging he could never have dreamed of.

Richard leaves his corporate office for a weekend at the country house of his fiancée, his boss' daughter. On the way he is forced to accept an offer of lodging from local Fred, and when he enters the house, the wacky family of Celia, her brother Dennis, and their parents won't let him move away from it. The family believes they are under the curse of the wild turkey, by which anyone who stays in the rural house past midnight is doomed to never leave.
