Cowboy Duell McCall wants to quickly deliver a herd of cattle to town, get paid and move on but romance with local girl Nora gets him involved in a feud between the town boss and Nora's dad.

Duell McCall is a drifter turned cowboy. His latest job is delivering a herd of cattle to a Western town. Duell intends to get paid by the cattle company and move on. Once in town, Duell runs into an old friend, Sally, who works as a prostitute at Madam Mona Lisa's cat-house. He promises to see her after he gets paid. The cattle company and many other company-owned local businesses are policed by company man Ballard, right-hand man Bede and their gang of thugs. With the weak local sheriff, John Whaley, in company's pocket, the law in town is more or less enforced by company man Ballard. After he gets paid, Duell McCall has a first run-in with company man Bede, in the saloon, during a crooked card game. Town boss, Ballard, intervenes and offers Duell an enforcer job on his team but Duell refuses. Later-on, Duell meets local farmer Malloy and his pretty daughter Nora. They are involved in a feud with the company, because they refuse to sell their land to the company. Duell and Nora fall in love and Duell decides to side with the helpless Malloys in their feud with the company. From then on, Duell is fair game for company man Ballard and his team of enforcers, led by Bede. With the corrupt local sheriff turning a blind eye to the feud, a desperate Mr. Malloy decides to send for the federal Marshal.
