Come Out Fighting background

Come Out Fighting

1945NR1h 2m6.2

The police commissioner asks some local street kids to toughen up his sissy son.

To avoid further entanglements with police, Muggs accepts the police commissioner's deal to take his ballet-loving son, Gilbert, into the gang and toughen him up. Bristling with dislike, Muggs quickly pits Gilbert against Danny, their best boxer, but the kid's ballet moves prove advantageous. The East Side Kids later save Gilbert from arrest when Gilbert's girlfriend takes him to an illegal casino. Gilbert escapes the raid, but Danny gets hurt and Muggs gets caught. With Muggs thus banned from entering a boxing tournament, the gang relies on Gilbert and his ballet moves to win the match. Gilbert's later confession to his father clears Muggs of all charges.
