Alicia Marin is a talented young folk singer who seeks a summer job in a local coffee shop as a part-time waitress and performer. Her mother Inez, has other plans for her -- she wants her to take a summer job as an assistant bookkeeper alongside her mother at her factory job. Luckliy, Alicia convinces her mother to allow her to do both, but when her mother's boss promises her a college scholarship, will she sacrifice her desire to pursue her musical career?
