The Evil Dead is an American supernatural horror/comedy film franchise created by Sam Raimi. The series revolves around the misadventures of ne'er-do-well buffoon Ashley J. Williams (Bruce Campbell). Upon discovering the Necronomicon in a remote cabin in the Tennessean foothills, Ash and his friends inadvertently release an army of Kandarian demons into the world of man, setting off a chain of events that finds Ash trapped in time, surrounded by evil, and low on gas.
